Augmented reality (AR) is becoming increasingly important in modern education and has the potential to enhance student learning in ways that were not previously possible. AR not only enhances Student Engagement: AR makes learning more interactive and engaging for students. It also allows them to interact with information in a more dynamic and immersive way. In this way, AR can promote inclusion and address many issues of equity in schools as students are able to have realistic geographic and cultural experience that are easily shared and accessed by others. Furthermore, AR offers a powerful tool to personalise learning, provide real-world contexts and help students to improve their problem-solving abilities and prepare them for real-world challenges.
Transnational Teacher Training
Online Transnational Teacher Training started on 22nd October 2024 online, and will remain available online . The training consists of five separate workshops each lasting for approximately one hour. For more information, click on the link below: go to the videos page of the site or visit our youtube channel
The training course is divided into five workshops designed to address the need for schools to keep abreast of new and innovative technologies by removing many of the obstacles that some schools face when considering using AR in teaching and learning. The project provides cheap solutions to making AR resources available to students, reassure teachers as to its usefulness as a supplementary resource and provide all necessary skills and knowledge to even the most inexperienced educator.
For those unable to attend the Online Zoom workshops, the AREA training is also available on the project's Moodle platform. Simply click on the icon to register.
